Apostles Kids

We desire to see the children at Apostles Houston know the Lord and His love for them. We are excited that God has called us to train children how to be with Jesus, become like Jesus and do the kinds of things Jesus did. Through studying God’s word, prayer, catechesis and fun, our desire is that every child would become a life-long followers of Jesus!

We offer in-house classes for babies (0-24 months) toddlers (2 & 3 year olds) and preschoolers (4 & 5 year olds) as well as a Kids Time Class for Kindergarten through 5th grade during the service.

Family Discipleship Guides

We believe you, the parents, are the primary disciple-makers in your children’s lives. Parents can engage in discipleship with their children at home by utilizing our Family Discipleship Guides. These weekly guides reiterate the Bible lesson the kids learn on Sunday and walk you through 3 different common family times: bedtime, car time, and meal time. Use this guide to integrate spiritual conversations with your children into the regular rhythms you already have as a family. It’s a weighty task to raise our children in the Lord - hopefully, this guide makes it a little easier.

Serve in Apostles Kids

Sharing Christ with our kids and teaching them to follow him as their Lord and Savior is a great privilege. We need passionate followers of Jesus with different gifts who are willing to serve in this incredible ministry. If you want to experience the joy of serving in Apostles Kids please contact us.

*In accordance with our Apostles Family Ministries Safety & Security Policies, all volunteers must have attended Apostles for a minimum of six months, complete a background check and go through Apostles Kids training in order to serve.

Apostles Kids Fall Teaching Series

“From Creation to Christmas: God at Work in the Old Testament”

We are excited to spend this Fall exploring the Old Testament with our kids. From now until Advent, we'll be learning the major events of the Old Testament as we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus. All along the way, we’ll be looking at how God is at work and the plans He is making to bless His people and to ultimately bless the whole world by sending Jesus to be our messiah and savior.

Our memory verse for this series is Jeremiah 29:11 for Toddlers and Preschoolers and Jeremiah 29:11-13 for Kids Time. As we learn about God’s plans in the Old Testament, we also want to consider the plans God has made for us as His precious children who are made in His image.

Babies, Toddlers & Preschool

Each Sunday our Apostles Kids Team provides a caring and safe environment for our babies and toddlers up to 5 years old. Check-in is located in the Nursery/Education Building at the far end of the breezeway.  Drop-off starts at 9:45am and pick-up is immediately following the end of worship. 

Kids Time

Kids Time age groups (Kindergarten - 5th Grade) are invited to worship with their families. At the end of the opening songs of praise and before the sermon, the children are dismissed to go to their Kids Time class. Leaders share lessons that are developmentally appropriate and engaging for elementary students, including a Bible lesson, snacks, and crafts. The children return to the church before communion begins.
